Let’s bring the glorious Georgian Grandeur of the Assembly Rooms to life this half term, as we celebrate its 2022 reopening with a fun and free open morning.
Have a go at creating your own Buxton Alphabet artwork or poem. Join us and get busy colouring, cutting, sticking, sketching and painting. Materials and inspiration all provided and activities are open to all ages.
For little ones we have our water-themed sensory bags to play with, and the always popular LEGO.
Play a hand or two of Faro – the card game much-loved by Georgian high society, and which would have been played in the Crescent Assembly Rooms themselves. Can you beat the house, and walk away with some winnings*
*Chocolate coins may be involved.
Or, just come along for a chat, to share your ideas about what activities we should be hosting in 2022, and simply enjoy being in the wonderful room!
