Buxton Town Team is a community organisation made up of ordinary people who want to make our town a better place to live, work and visit.
Our projects include everything from gardening and crafts to fundraising and events. We’re enthusiastic, inclusive, welcoming and we want to involve as many people as possible – we believe everyone has something to offer, no matter what their age or experience.
Buxton Town Team was founded in 2012 in the wake of the Government’s Portas Pilot initiative, aimed at regenerating Britain’s high streets. There was stiff competition for the funding and the town didn’t make the final cut – but we decided to go ahead and make Buxton better anyway!
Following a series of well-attended public meetings, Buxton Town Team was established as a Community Interest Company (CIC) whose objective is “to advance the prosperity of Buxton and the wellbeing of its community”.
Come along to our Action Group meetings and get involved!
