Our Changing Faces project is back!
Our creative, after-school workshops, 3.30pm-5pm, on Tuesdays at The Green Man Gallery (behind Buxton Museum) on Hardwick Square South are restarting on 5th October 2021 and will run until 12th July 2022.
The project aims to support young people aged 11-18yrs in Buxton who face daily difficulties or disadvantage.
We deliver a range of creative activities, many chosen by the participants themselves, and encourage them to get involved with our Buxton Carnival activities in the summer.
If you know of any young person in Buxton you think would find them beneficial, either spending time on creative endeavours, having an additional support network or just having a safe space to go after school, please let them know about it. Savoury snacks and drinks are provided if they need encouraging!
We have been running this project since 2017 but had to stop in March 2020 due to the pandemic. We can’t wait to get going again and help support young people in our community.
We will be encouraging Covid transmission-reducing measures including hand-sanitising, regular cleaning, mask-wearing and distancing where possible.
Spaces are limited, so please contact us if a young person would like to attend – email firstname.lastname@example.org.
