A huge thank you to all the volunteers at High Peak Foodbank who continue to work during lockdown to make sure local families get emergency food when they need it. We’ve had to socially distance so there isn’t the same friendly vibe at the foodbank but nobody has complained and there has been a lot more food to sort so everyone has had to work harder. What a great team!
And special shout out to Buxton Street By Street’s very own Caitlin Bisknell!
Caitlin Bisknell has been working for Zink at High Peak Foodbank since May 2020. She arranges collections of surplus food from local supermarkets, Aldi, Waitrose, Tesco and Morrisons so foodbank users get fresh vegetables and bread in emergency food parcels. Caitlin also distributes some of the food at ROFA’s food pantry and other projects in the High Peak. Around three tonnes of good food is saved every month by Caitlin to feed hungry people in our community.
