The UK government has announced which areas across England will be placed into which covid alert level in the three-tier system, once lockdown ends next week. Across England, cases are down by 19% and hospital admissions are down by 7%.
Matt Hancock addressed the house of commons in a statement to confirm that the current national lockdown will end on 2nd December and the three tier system will come into force from 12.01am on Wednesday 2nd December 2020.
The tiers are tougher than the previous system in an effort to continue to reduce infection levels across the country. A review of the new and revised tier system is scheduled for 16th December.
You should work from home if can do so across all tiers.
The Derbyshire including the High Peak will be placed into Tier 3. You can check an area online via the postcode checker on the UK government website here gov.uk/find-coronavirus-local-restrictions
