For all those who were planning to attend Buxton Field Club’s talk by Patrick Harding – bad news and good news!! Patrick has sadly had to cancel but we have secured the wonderful Neil Barden to talk instead – date and time moved to Sunday 25th October at 5.00pm – thus giving additional light to the start of our shorter daylight hours!

Neil Barden is the most experienced Waxcap Grassland expert in the Peak District and an excellent grassland field mycologist. He has had a lifetime fascination for fungi and bought his first book on the subject aged six.
Living at the edge of the glorious Peak District he is able to indulge in his passion for searching out this 5th, cryptic kingdom of life whenever he has time.
