We just wanted to say thank you to all of you who continue to offer help to your community. We are getting regular feedback about what this personally means to so many of those in need amongst us. You are amazing 🌈❤️🌈
We are working on a central request for help and volunteer sign – up platform.. Watch this space for a launch soon!
We also want to take this opportunity to congratulate our very own Caitlin on being successful in her application to join Zinc’s High Peak Food Bank from where she will contribute still further towards the incredible offer along with Buxton Street by Street and Chapel Mutual Aid group of ensuring food reaches the people who need it around the High Peak area the most. She remains a dedicated and highly valued member of our team
We also want to announce that we are supporting an amazing volunteer PPE provider called For the Love of Scrubs ❤️🌈❤️ which is locally coordinated by Katy Wainwright, to create a central request and distribution platform. So if you are a ‘kitchen-sink’ producer of:
1) Facecoverings (non medical masks)
2) Full Scrubs
3) Scrub Bags
4) Earsaver Headbands
Please can you get in touch with their Facebook group if you are interested in joining forces with this scheme so that together we can increase output capacity, as the coming weeks will almost certainly see an increase in demand.
If you are making other PPE, for example face shields, or a coordinator of another local scrub hub, and would like our support, including access to volunteer drivers and recruitment, please email us
Finally, we would like to ask all our wonderful volunteers to keep us updated via the ward WhatsApp groups around availability, as we know that there may be some movement in this over the coming days and weeks as work places re-open and people are returning back to their previous commitments.
We will work to bridge any gaps by asking other volunteers and drawing on other offers of help, so please feel able to tell us
Thank you! ❤️🌈❤️
