Today we’ve had our very own team of Easter Bunnies out and about delivering Easter Treats to local families and schools – with thanks for Rob at Morrisons and High Peak Foodbank for making it possible …. AND, of course, our wonderful volunteers.
This is making a real difference to local families:
“One of the mums I delivered to cried because she was so worried her children would no longer believe in the Easter bunny as they were in isolation and she couldn’t get eggs! Amazing work guys.”
In another post on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/560370601245794 one more grateful Mum writes:
‘I received 2 lovely easter eggs this afternoon for my children, I have not lived in Buxton very long and don’t know many people, my husband works away from home and all my family and friends are over an hour away, and although none of us can see our loved ones at the moment knowing all my loved ones are so far away from us makes isolation feel that tiny bit more isolated. Today has been a particularly difficult day for us, my children have felt a little fed up and bored and I am a student counsellor trying to keep the child entertained in between carrying out counselling sessions looking after others mental health, so to get a surprise knock on the door and to be told someone has nominated me to receive eggs was just the up lift me and my children needed which made isolation feel not so isolated after all. So from me and my 2 girls THANK YOU 💛’
