Huge amounts of hard work, determination and generosity has enabled those most in need to be able to enjoy a Easter otherwise not possible due to the present lock-down restrictions.
Helping to prevent families from breaking isolation, potentially putting people at risk of contracting the Novel Coronavirus, was our aim when we were offered the extraordinary opportunity to obtain a huge quantity of Easter eggs, courtesy of Morrison’s surplus food Champion- Rob Harrison and specially packed Easter treat boxes created by Stacey Hawtin of High Peak Foodbank (and her dog Mai!):
Watch out for further news on this incredible and positive story as it unfolds throughout Buxton over the coming days, with the help of local Schools and a small team of dedicated volunteers along with the tireless efforts of Cailtin Bisknell, one of our coordinators. Claire Mitchell, our very own Easter Bunny and fellow coordinator is busy as I write this, creating a little insert for every Easter Egg we will deliver to families who need them most in time for Easter.
